This twenty-four hour congregate living environment for adults with a brain injury provides housing and support to six clients. Staff assist clients in the areas of health and physical well-being, cognitive and behavioural management and social and emotional welfare. The program's focus is one of independence and community integration.

Eligibility Criteria:

ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY GROUP HOME

  Applicants must:

  • be at least 16 years of age
  • have a valid Health Card (Ref.: Bill 173)
  • have a brain injury as diagnosed by a Regulated Health Professional
  • be medically stable
  • demonstrate the desire to be involved in programs
  • require twenty-four hour supervision
  • not be dangerous to themselves or other
  • not have severe behaviour problems
  • not have ongoing psychiatric or substance abuse issues.
